FOREWORD
After several years of struggle with cancer Eline van den Brandhoff passed away on August 2, 2011.A long-time clubmember of the Hollandclub we remember Eline regularly participating in activities. We hereby offer our sincere condolences to her family and friends.
Due to the high cost of publishing the Tulip Talk we limit mailing it as much as practical. You therefore find that in this issue we publish our events for the rest of the remaining year.
To communicate with you efficiently and without high costs involved, it is has become more and more important that we maintain ourcontact list accurately. Please help me to do my job and email me any address changes to [apsteijl@tampabay.rr.com].
Over and beyond the foregoing you may access our website [www.hollandclubtampabay.com] for additional information.
Our board looks forward to serving you throughout the year and works diligently to bring together people of Dutch origin, persons and institutions interested in Dutch culture and to promote community involvement.
Participation in past events was overall a little better then expected. We have no complaints there; however, there is plenty of room for improvement.
For years the club dues have remained unchanged at a little over one dollar p.person per month. Through the personal input by the board and many club-members alike we were able to operate on a low budget. This becomes more and more difficult.
Part of our income comes from ads but we do need more members to pay their dues of respectively $25 or $15 per year. Please….???
THANKS EVERYONE.
